Foliage Flow Quilt Along

Foliage Flow Quilt Along is a year-long creative quilting journey in which you’ll make a beautiful foliage-inspired quilt, one section at a time. Along the way, you’ll explore a wide variety of techniques, including English Paper Piecing, appliqué, Foundation Paper Piecing, improv piecing, and traditional patchwork and aal of those mixed together. With detailed guidance, flexible construction options, and plenty of room for personal creativity, Foliage Flow is designed to inspire both adventurous beginners and experienced quilters as you grow your skills and create a truly unique quilt.

This quilt with transitions and overflowing sections measures 32″ x 45″ (approximately 81 x 114 cm)—a size I personally love. It’s perfect for curling up under on a chilly evening, wrapping around your legs on the couch, or simply displaying as a piece of textile art.

Each month for a whole year sections of the pattern will be available in your digital library at Fish Ring Quilts, starting June 2027. In April 2027 you’ll receive suggestions for fabrics and colouring. This design works beautifully with both carefully curated fabrics and scrappy colour-group combinations. You can choose to use natural greens or make an artistic colour combination. After all the parts are there we will also discuss finishing the quilt, to guide you through till the end of the journey.
